Retreat!

We pulled it off- thank you God! The Women's Ministry Fall Retreat was a success. Not bad for an amateur. Sometimes I wonder why I agree to things, Leadership of Women's Ministry has been exciting. We have changed a lot of things but it has been a great time so far. I really want to focus on the vision/purpose statement, we need to be more then just event planners.

Turning 31

I had a horrible time with my 30th birthday. I overcompansated with a huge party with 60 of our closest friends and family and lots of adult beverages (mostly wine, from our California visits). See bonfire photo- not sure cameras should be allowed at such a party but it was a blast and it helped get me over the "30" thing. 31 this year and I completely blew it off. It doesn't help much that Rob is only 8 days older then me. September is a very busy month at our house.

In the beginning

Born in an unknown town in Wisconsin
Attended four colleges/universities, finally graduated & started on a Master's Degree only to quit. I burned out from working full time and attending school full time. I will not do that to my daughter. I will expect her to work over the summer but not full time. I really want her to enjoy college and figure out what she wants to be when she "grows up."
